Martial Artists are considered a tough bunch. They throw, strike, choke and kick their opponents. They perform feats that seem non human-like and mysterious yet they are benevolent and polite. These warrior-class of people are mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, engineers, politicians, professionals and laborers. They are children and adults. They are Kokondo-ka.
The ideologies expressed at the House of Kokondo have a profound impact on each student. Through the moral Codes of Bushido and desire to “master” their training our students discover broad interest beyond the discipline of the martial arts. Working alongside high-achieving peers, learning from many world-class instructors, and experiencing the authentic art of the ancients all allow our students here to grow and develop into upstanding students and citizens within their community.
Clearly being a skillful martial artist, success is far more than simply what you learn in the dojo; who you learn from can affect the way you approach an issue, subject, attacker – and even change your mind about what and how much you seek to accomplish in life. Witnessed as one of the finest dojo’s worldwide House of Kokondo students learn in a safe, professional, fun atmosphere achieving and expecting more than what others believe is possible.
